Frequently Asked Questions
Please review the answers to the most commonly asked questions about starting your therapy journey.
We are excited to watch you bloom into the person you’ve been striving to be!
What should I expect in therapy, how does it work?
Therapy is a confidential, non judgmental space to share about past or current concerns. It is a collaborative process between you and your therapist to understand challenges, build strategies, identify strengths, and explore barriers with the ultimate goal of improving your well being.
Can I meet virtually and in-person? Do I need to commit to just one?
We offer both virtual and in-person appointments. If you would like to switch from virtual to in-person (or vice versa) this will be a discussion to have with your therapist depending on availability.
How is billing handled?
We require a credit card on file for payment. Clients will be billed each week for their session(s).
What is the cancellation policy?
Sessions must be cancelled with at least 48 hour (2 day) notice to prevent a late cancellation fee of $100.
Do you accept my insurance?
MMH accepts Tufts, Harvard Pilgrim, United Healthcare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

PLEASE NOTE: It is recommended to check if you have out-of-network benefits. Call the number on your insurance card and check if you have out-of-network coverage for mental health services and what percentage will be covered. We can provide a superbill to submit to your insurance.
